A few little problems
A few little problems
I was in the car this afternoon and the flat tyre warning symbol came up on the dash.
I was on my way to fill up with fuel at Tesco so I thought I would pump the tyres at the same time.
The problem is that none of the tyres needed pumping up (unless I have the incorrect pressure)?? Has anybody else found this to be a problem?
On a different note, everytime I fill up with fuel the pump stops and when I get in the car the needle is 1 nothch off top. Again has anybody else experienced this?

RE: A few little problems
With the tyre pressures try starting from scratch, set the pressures (I'm sure somebody on here will tell you the optimum pressures if you post your tyre size) then reset your tyre pressure monitor on your cars information system (Off your menu button on the steering wheel) and see how you go.
No problems with the fuel gauge, get it booked in if still under warranty.

Sorry, too slow typing....
Fuel gauge thing is a common one in RS4's, like Andu said put your finger in the fuel filler nozzle and to the left you will feel a toggle. If you have brimmed your tank and the fuel is in the filler pull or push the toggle keeping your finger on it and you will see the fuel disappear from the nozzle.
I usually keep my finger on the toggle for 10 or seconds and that way will get another 3-4 litres in the tank. When ther car gets going the dial hits full.

Cheers for the replies guys.
My tyres are the P-Zero's on standard rims. I think they are the original tyres as the car has only done 11k miles. The machine at the petrol station said 39-40PSI for all 4 tyres (which I thought was too much)?
I will have a look tomorrow and see if I can reset the monitor
