Hi Just had my car in to Audi Watford to check vibration on front discs. They said that although they were warped that Audi would only replace under warranty if under 6000 miles. Car has done 10000. Anyone had any experience re going higher and getting any results?

That's a new version. The RS aftersales charter IIRC allows a dealership to replace discs if warped or damaged beyond wear & tear in the first 2 years or 20,000 miles but only one set. Thereafter it is up to goodwill from your dealership. I have had a set of fronts and rears which my dealer did under warranty but then found when they tried to charge back to Audi UK would not authorise so the dealership has footed the bill. They have just warped again front and now rear and I cannot get a replacement set this time, so replacing at my cost.

Is that for fronts or rears. If the former that is a good price, I was quoted nearer £1K hence why I did it myself.

No wonder the guy at Audi had never heard of it, hope he's not spent too much time searching for it..........

thats for fronts, and I have already found them for £500 plus P&P, Audi say its £100 to fit them, still a rip off, so I have called Audi UK and am awaiting a response

£800 doesnt seem that bad, was expecting a lot more, not done any price finding myself though, saying that mine are juddering a goodun and only done 6000miles so i still think its a p..s take that they wont replace them or offer a good will, oh well, does anyone know how much other alternatives are ? That's a good price Klauster, similar to mine which was £650 for disks and pads combined.

Go to Audi and they want £900+ for the exact same parts, TPS was £868.

Rears are the pricey ones given the size they are compared to the fronts. Have kept my fronts and will have them skimmed and just keep switching / skimming until both are down the the limit.

Are they using a Pro-cut lathe and doing them whilst on the car?
