Swiftcover are indeed good for unmodified cars but when you start tampering they won't cover and revert to their sister co., Adrian Flux.
Even my Hotchkis ARB's are classified as a 'modification' with a premium.

Not going to do anything 'till warranty expires, don't want to give them "any" get out clause in case of a warranty claim !

Just moved from More Than to Swiftcover.
Renewal from More Than was £748 (gone up for no reason from last years £688). Checked the Price Comp sites & Swiftcover were around the £500 mark.
More Than for a fresh policy were down to £600 (how stupid is that), but with a bit of tinkering & removing crap i didn't need, got SC quote down to £448, so they have my business for the next 12mths.
How sad though that my car insurance is now only a few quid more than my Road Fund License.

That seems to be how the insurance market works now - new customers get a lower quote than renewing customers.
It's idiotic - the cost of all the paperwork to transfer customers between companies every year should be taken into account and us given incentives to stay and not change.
Loyalty should be rewarded - because it's cheaper for the insurance companies. Oh I forgot - they just charge us the extra cost so there's no incentive for them to keep us!

As much as I am with MoreThan at present I doubt I will be using them again. I have had two fully recovered non fault accidents in the last two years and as a consequence my premium has gone up with MoreThan because of it. Their explanation.... I'm a high risk driver because other people crash into me!

That's typical of the current muddled thinking of the insurance industry.
If they have fully recovered the costs then there should be NO loading on you just because you happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That is the unwritten rule Dave, but they load it incase they cannot recover the full amount but don't give you the loading back if it never happens.

So they don't follow the rule...
And the only reason they can get away with shafting us is because it's a cartel... good old rip off Britain again.
