RS4 s don't half squirm about a bit under really heavy braking...scared myself shi*less tonite on a jaunt back home on bumpy b-roads (in a good way)
Any proven upgrades to improve such?? Would new ARBs help??
i agree

It is very very busy under braking if there is a fix for it i will buy it!! i guess we could always drive slower!!!

the fix is changing weight dist from 60/40 to 50/50...the engine is cantilevered over the front axle like a pedulum...
as the wt moves forward it 'lifts' the rear axle...swinging it about the steering axis...

That could be a very expensive fix!!!!

lol
put some fat people in the rear seat and trunk
on my M3, I ease into the brakes, gradually increasing pressure...
the RS4 seems to respond better to hard intially, and backing out gradually as the wt transfers to the front...
overall, the brakes are amazing, just took me a slightly different technique to optimize them...

This is one of the points always commented on by the journo's.
Clarkson mentioned it but said it's ok once you know about it but the first time can be a bit hairy
Have experienced it myself and seems ok as long as you stay focused and don't do anything silly
One thing is for sure........ they stop you when needed
Had a little blast over some back roads last night and can't believe how quick and nimble these cars are

Mine has Ceramics and I had to peal my friend off the dash the other evening when he asked me to 'demonstrate' how good they where...and he had his seatbelt on!

it never really becomes an issue (for me at least) until you are at speeds >100...
at normal road speeds, 70 mph or so, it is minimal

That's why the Avants are better balanced and faster

Try Threshold breaking, this eliminates it (or it should).

I carry 250 - 300 kg of calibration weights most of the time in the back of my Avant, and she's just as lively under hard braking, whether loaded or unloaded. I think you just get used to it over time, but first time on an E stop, sh*t, I was just a passenger in distress with a steering wheel in my hand!
