Final moan/BIG BROTHER have a look...

Post by mac4RS » Thu May 28, 2009 7:28 pm

Be brief...

Audi UK have 'washed their hands' of my problem - can't find a fault, Rolling Road figures are basically crap - too many variables with them, so please go away...

Any comments/ suggestions, please PM me as 'sad' BIG BROTHER is reading this forum.

thats not good news, mine is different to yours, i will be pissed if York Audi tinkering doesnt find something....

Sorry to hear that they are saying there is nothing wrong, does it still not drive correctly? When they tested your car on the road against another car, how did it do?

Dont want to sound patronising but have you check all the vacuum hoses, Oli has jut sorted his car out and this was due to a unplugged vacuum hose in the exhaust area, his graph was very similar to yours!

shame that Audi are having this attitude, so they are doing nothing more? what dealership did you visit? name and shame!

Far too many variables - yes - but with 20 cars run under near identical conditions (Jim can vouch for this) there is at least some relativity

I suggest a letter to

Jeremy Hicks
Audi UK
Yeoman’s Drive
Blakelands
Milton Keynes
MK14 5AN

..with a reasonable deadline for response (say two weeks) followed by some legal help if nothing arrives

Mac,
You need to name this dealership !
If they are that bad and do not wish to offer the customer service that rs4 owners expect, then no one who view's this forum would wish to take their car there.
This applies to all audi owners as well.

My graph was nothing like this!

I would take your car to Worthing Audi, they'll sort it for you

Very surprised and disappointed to hear this Mac, I would expect better from Audi UK.

Taking the end figures of the rolling road day out of the equation, they is absolutely no way on earth these 'variables' varied that much for your car over any other of the 20 or so cars that day.

As AudiTech has pointed out on your other thread; all seems fine until 5k rpm or so when it falls over like a deflated souffle. Compare that to any of the other cars curves from the day - there MUST be fault.

Unfortunately it seems your dealer has simply run out of ideas (or ability) and has taken the easy option out. I'd agree with contacting senior management about this and would seriously consider seeking an independent specialist’s opinion/report to back you up.

Thats just not acceptable the graph clearly shows a completely incorrect power delivery for a b7 END OF STORY me personally would drop that car off in front of the showroom blocking the doors lock it and walk away, very harsh but you had tried the normal polite route to no avail

Could this not turn into a "fit for purpose" discussion with Audi UK?

Not a bad Idea.................

Mac, don't know what to say mate, very very disappointed to hear this. I agree with reevesroadster you just don't have what you paid for. I can understand if your car dyno'd at 385 and you were saying it's not good enough you paid for 414 but 285!!! Jesus, surely they must accept that your car is not well?? Maybe your amazing dealership can do some more tests with when another customers RS4 comes in!!?? I have to say I would be doing some serious jumping up and down by now. In fact I think I would be driving down to HQ and kicking up a stink! I love Audi's with a passion, I think the brand is a good one and so is the product but some dealers are just not up to it. they are now selling cars costing over 100k and they need to back that up.

Is there another dealers ship close to you that could have a look and give a 2nd opinion???
Current car..... hmmmmm????

The dealer is Ipswich Audi. They are the dealer that suggested I go to a Rolling Road - and now Audi UK say that such RR figs are just really a load of crap!

The e-mail from Audi UK said that because I directed my concerns to Audi Germany, this was the highest escalation that could be acheived.

So basically bye bye & gave me the contact to some motoring organisation to assist with disputes that cannot be resolved. Gave them a call - this was a problem that was outside their jurisdiction.

Hey, it's not the end of the world tho', have a lovely family etc, so not all bad :)

Regards,

Mac

PS To Audi UK I say, ''Take care of your reputation. It's your most valuable asset.

PPS I may have lost this battle, but I'm not going to lose the war... :audibash:

PS: Mac if you want your car sorted, I'm sure MRC could diagnose the issue for you...

You might want to go that route in the interim (to at least get it back to proper health) and then choose how to proceed from there...

Obviously that might set you back a few quid...

Either way, you definitely need another opinion....and a lawyer.
