Flame Suit On - Another Rolling Road Day

So after the exploits at Paramount and the raging debate afterward, Klauster and I are going to use another rolling road. Me personally, I'm using it as it is local to me and will be my refernce point for all futiure work I do without having to travel a few hundred miles; similarly so for Klauster I believe.

However I thought I would open it up to other B7 RS4 owners to see if theye were interested. This one would cost however, £35 each with a minimum of 10 cars. However saying all that we are already 20% there. As my car car do 0-60 in 4.9-5.0 seconds in high heat I'm happy it works but it may be nice for us all to meet up and then those who are interested to go on a short run afterward and then to a pub for lunch before departing our separate ways?

The r/r in question is a Dastek Road at Motoscope at Northallerton and Klauster and I are booked in for Saturday June 20th. Conveniently the day before Fathers Day, so for those with kids, this could be your present for the next day!

If anyone is interested, especially the Northern England contingent who thought Paramount was a tad too far, would be glad to hear from you. Realistically to make this a go-er I would have to have numbers by Sunday at latest to give Motoscope time to organise. Other Audi owners are of course welcome so I may put this in the 'Meets' section anyway.

It's a bit of a trek but as you guys made the effort to come down south I would of course be willing to come up north even if it is Grim upt der.

However this will be dependant on if my car is on the road as it may be in pieces by the 20th

With four days to go could the three RS4's who have said they want to attend confirm they are still OK for Saturday. 10.30am start at Motoscope in Northallerton. Mac, caldy; do you want to meet me at the Travelodge car park at the Silverlink at 9.30am so we can blast through the tunnel and down to Northallerton?

If anyone else wants to join us you are more than welcome although I would need to know in the next couple of days. Hopefully we may also be able to find a quiet 1/2 mile stretch of national speed limit road to test 0-62 times as well.

Attendees;

Klauster RS4 Saloon (Leeds)
P_G RS4 Avant (Newcastle) CONFIRMED
Caldy Heavily Modified RS4 saloon (Newcastle)
Mac-Logotech C5 RS6 (Newcastle)
Lengster1 RS4 (possible)

I'll be up for that, I only live 25mins. from Northallerton. I was booked into Motoscope's RR but had to cancel because my car had a faulty vacuum pipe which had to be replaced. I also had all the valves 'de-coked', so I'm interested in how much power the car is producing.

Just spoken with Motoscope, he's only booked you all in for a two hour slot & he's got someone coming in after; so there's no room at the inn for me. Nevermind, hope you have a good day out.

Gordon, come along anyway, we may be able to squeeze you on even if there is a slight overrun. I reckon 20 mins per car and maybe 25 mins for the RS6 that is coming but that is going on last.

Klauster, we are getting there for 10.30am and caldy is scheduled first, so around that time would be good or earlier if you want your car to cool down a bit before putting it on the rollers.

I'm Coming now

Just spoken with the guy at Motoscope & he said to pop down & he might be able to squeeze me in, if he can't it's no big deal as I only live just up the road.

See you Sat.
