I had the whole of my suspension replaced under warranty; all 4 shocks etc, now found the front 2 are leaking AGAIN and the whole 4 need to be replaced AGAIN. Anyone else had this problem?
Is there a problem with the shocks I don’t know about?

Emm, type in DRC to the search - should keep you busy reading for a few hours.

Bing them and go for the after market suspension, KWv3s seem to be the weapon of choice.

May be a good idea as I have been told that I have the modified ones? I would recommend that anyone who has had the shocks changed check them again!!

Has anyone negotiated a longer warranty on suspension after having it replaced?

I've read in other threads here that Audi have extended the warranty on the DRC system to 5 years or 80k miles; not been near a dealer lately to confirm but I’m sure if it's been stated here without contest then its gospel

You read and hear right my friend but my guess would be only if you ask them about it........

Yes, it's actually 5 years and 75k miles, and applies, as a minimum, to all UK-supplied RS4s.

I have the 'new' parts, having now had 10 shocks i think in total. They appear to be OK so far, and i am becoming convinced that their longevity is related at least partly to the quality of the installation process, which is a bit complicated.

Did Audi explain what difference the "new" parts had.

I believe it is, on the fronts, a new sealing design and on the rears a new gaiter (or even addition of a gaiter) which should stop crud getting to the (vulnerable obviously) seal.

You would have thought that the 100-year old technology of sealing a shaft was pretty well landed by now. After all, it's not the complexity of the DRC bit that seems to be failing, it's simply the stem seal.

The set they replaced mine with had Vasaline smeared just under the top cup. A mechanism to avoid dirt getting in or to stop us seeing the leaks???
