Ok has been done to death but thought i'd just confirm.

275s will fit on 9inch rims with no probs / no rubbing.

Options I have:
CONTINENTAL 275/30R19 CONTI SPT 2* 96Y XL
or
GOODYEAR FI ASSYMETRICS (same sizing)

Now I can get both for the same price - do I go with the Contis which retail higher (but may be no better a tyre??) or stick with F1s which others have tried on 275 sizing and rate.

Any input (either bad / good) would be appreciated.

Also, can someone post a few pics with an RS4 on 275s?
I have tried to find on various threads but can't find.

I would recommend that you stick with the 255s......and if u are still keen, as I am changing mine back to the original size, you can have a set of four for £350. 6.5mm all around, even wear accross all tyres.

Stick to the F1's, I doubt even the larger cross sectional SC3's will be a patch on them. I had OEM SC3's and they were only good for their first 5000 miles and terrible wet and dry after that. My 275 F1's have been excellent, have done 15000 miles on them and still have a few mm left on them and due to rotate them with no issues, vibrations of adverse handling characteristics despite what some may say about them.

I have vibrations between 60-80mph, and when i throw the car into a bend at great speed, it just does not feel right. Not too sure, how much you push your car, but I have realised that when the car is challenged, the RS does feel that it is wearing high heels and not running shoes! ha ha ha.....so after 6k miles on it, I think enough is enough.

Think F1s will be fitted - 275s.
There is more good vibes on forum than bad with rgds these tyres and sizing.
Maybe a few (unlucky) people had a dodgy set - which can happen.

Need to order sometime tomorrow so if anyone has any other views - much appreciated (either way)

Can't agree more. I too have done 12,000 miles and 6 track days on mine. Apart from a wee bit of shoulder wear, which you would expect from track days, they are spot on.

I had PS2's prior to the F1's and they were very good indeed untill they got down to around 2-3mm. The F1's just do not appear to show any signs of worsening grip the more they wear down towards the tread limiters.

I'm just about to change from 275 f1's to 275 verdestein sassantas.

I found the f1's to be excellent but after hearing very good things about the verdesteins too, 450 for a set made the deal for me.

I have got the vredesteins on my wife's new cab and only lasted 10k on the front?!!

I went back to 255's after some moaning from Audi. As there is no real price difference now, I think it does come down to personal preference. Those with vibration need to check to things, make sure you are running the tyres at a higher psi then standard. Get 4 wheel laser alignment done, sorted mine out.

no, but they didnt like the tyres being run, and kept on about it every time i took it in, was gettign on my tits

Do Audi offer 4 wheel alignment? I don't want to go to a tyre depot if I can help it.

They do ....but ..last time i asked they told me it would cost £200
but the Master Tech recommended a garage accross the road for the alignment for £45

I'd love to hear their explanation on what they believe having 275 tyres would adversely do to your car. If they then quote they are not the tyre of choice you could then ask them why some RS4's were fitted with Conti's, some with PZeros and some with PS2's from delivery and how that shows Audi has a 'tyre of choice' for the RS4.

As always, talking out of their collective arse.

My dealer is well aware I'm running 275's having replaced a tyre valve on one of my wheels and said nothing, it is even on the worksheet when they check the tread depths and nothing was said.
