MRC = RS4 Reborn!

So, after reading Rob's write up (pippyrips 'v' MRC), I bit the bullet and decided to go for the same, which was intake manifold removed and cleaned, ITG filter, No-cat downpipes and Milltek non-res, non-valve and re-map.

Milltek had a bit of a mix up on the pipe so I had to go the resonated route if I wanted my car completed in one visit.

Result? Well, firstly I'm glad I went the resonated route; I think non-res would be just a bit too much. Res is plenty loud for me thanks!

After driving it back from MRC, all I can say is christ almighty, it's like a different car. It feels so much more alive and powerful and the noise...oh, the noise, what a lovely sound.

MRC fitted new plugs and did an oil/filter change as well (I supplied oil/filter).

The carbon/oil deposits were bad as you'll see in the pics below. :(

Rob is due to take his car back in to have the intake manifold removed to see how much it has built up since it was cleaned. MRC know what is causing the problem and will hopefully have the solution to it soon'ish :D

Thanks to Doug and Lucas and the rest of the crew at MRC for making my RS4 awesome with a capital 'F'.

Interestingly, I'd already added Wynns about 2-3 weeks before the work was done - hmm, look at the difference it made! BTW - car had 20,000mls on the clock.

Nice one fella, I cam very close to going down the MRC route, but im interested to see how long it takes for the valves to gunk up again. Have you got it booked for a power run? woudl be interesting to see what power your putting out,

Sonny, no I haven't got it booked for the dyno. I am really happy with the power it's now kicking out, whatever that may be. The fact I'm happy is enough for me. :D

Could I have a view on cost as well - the queue is forming!

What are you going to do at MOT time with the de-cats?

Maybe MRC should advertise a price for a decoke on RS4's with over 1000 miles on the clock - could send flyers to Audi dealerships! :oops: :)
