Road Trip - Nurburgring

After meeting with a few RS4 B7 guys at the rolling road last Saturday, interest was shown in a trip to the Nurburgring sometime this summer. I’ve started to look into the costs, timings, routes etc... but to get things rolling I think we need to know who interested and should it be just for B7’s?
A friend of mine works at ‘What Car’ and they do this a couple of times a year so looking at prising as much info from them as possible. If anyone’s got some useful tips jump in on the thread or PM me.
I’ll start the 'interested' list going, copy and paste it to log your interest

A good start....I suggest a late Friday drive from London to Folkestone to get the Euro Train to Calais, and then do a stop over in Belguim, and Saturday morning head to the ring. Geading back on a Sunday, as many of us work, I think a weekend trip will work for most of us, and generate more interest.
A return Eurotunnel journey can cost as little as £130 if booked in advance per car. Fuel wise another £200, and £200 for accomodation. I reckon the complete trip can be done at a cost of £500, which is not too bad.
Nevertheless, please count me as "interested".
Thanks
Shaan

I'm not against other RS/S Audi's, but it would be unique to bring a collection of B7's together, to learn & evaluate more about this special car.
This would probably be the largest number ever on such a trip...

I've not done it before, but can't see how it can easily be done without taking Fri or Mon off - not an issue for me, and would allow a whole day on the track (plus more time for beers...)
Agree with Mac that B7s would be more fun if possible (and we won't get shown up by the B5s!)

Depending on dates.
Was only thinking the other day that i missed a Euro Hoon & some Ring Laps last year so due one this year.
Been quite a few times over the past 5yrs with over 200 laps in the RS6, M5 & B7 RS4.
Attended the Scuderia Hanseat in 2007 in the B7 with my quickest BTG time of 8:29. This was only achievable as traffic was limited with the Track being exclusively open for just course attendees.
I'll never forget playing chase with our Forum Leader & laughing those entire laps.

Just an update; Looks like the circuit does Private and Public track days, Private looks out the question as most are booked and look hideously expensive leaving Public days. These again appear to be limited and I’ve emailed the circuit for more details and availability, as the majority of the interest is date dependant.
I’ll get this info posted ASAP as this will make or break most peoples plans

You seem to have forgot the cost of the laps. A 15 lap tickets is 250 Euros a 25 lap ticket 390 Euros. I also think you've underestimated your fuel costs. Super Unleaded is c.£1.25 a litre on the continent due to the poor exchange rate.
I would suggest more like £800-£900 for a weekend trip doing 15 laps.
