And this is why I was underneath my car checking to see if gearbox outdrives where rusty ... and yep they are ... so I think they will all be .. so normal.

Sonny, actually the exact opposite, the quality is to F1 Standards ... extremely good.

Surely with that section it could have been one continuous piece using mandrel bending?

Jim I don't mean to sound on a downer on what they have done to your car but if they are, as they say they are, custom fabricators it seems a pity they did not give you just a on piece straight through decat pipe as per the description rather than a welded in several places part which in itself as, resilient as welding is, causes structural flaws over a singular mandrel bent pipe.
