RS4 B7 Braded brake lines
For information.
I have just had a set of braded brake hoses made up by Goodridge in Exeter, using the best materials available.
http://www.goodridge.net/uk/index.htm
The hoses were not previously available as part of their range, so I had to send my original lines to Goodridge for them to copy. The braded lines are going to be added to their product range. I paid £117.00. I’ll post some pictures once I receive and fit them.

Goodridge are excellent braided hoses, had them on my B6 S4 and they certainly improve brake feel and pedal pressure. Glad they are not doing some for the RS4, another of my after warranty mods.

GruppeM yes, good info, but they have to come from Japan. I've just ordered their Ram Air induction kit.

I can certainly recommend Goodridge, I use to compete at motorcycle road racing and if the bike didn't come with braded lines we always replaced them with Goodridge, 1st class

Hiya, Im running OEM ones, I was looking at the Pagids Greys, (400-450 quid) however I was put off the fact that the pad warning light would not be there, also the discs will wear down more, due to the ceramic on steel wear factor, so I decided to stick with OEMs, I came very close to getting the OEM Audi Ceramics, think they would be the real alternative if money was no option (btw I was going to sacrifice new driveway for the discs lol). Think Jim on here is running the yellow Pagids.

Question answered by sonny. The Goodridge hoses do give better brake feel and less fade. Apart from that I am running an OEM set up.

The Hoses are a must IMO, btw the OEM ones are not braided as thought, as i had a good look at them, I also had Audi fit the hoses for me too. I trialed the hoses on the "Ring" and noticed a massive difference, more of a solid feel through the pedal.

The pressure tolerance through the Goodridge hose can be up to 15x more than an OEM hoses, thats how much significantly better they are.

Chaps
I've been buying goodridge hoses (20 pairs a month or so for various projects) for 2 years, I have just been introduced to HEL lines and Im seriously considering using them going forward. Stainless fittings as standard, mid line fittings to match OEM and teflon as opposed to PTFE lined. They are also available for the RS4 for around 70 quid delivered inc VAT !!!!!!! Three figures for hoses is just RS added tax imho

I totally agree with the above. I switched from Goodridge to HEL some time ago too. Hel above the points raised earlier feel better quality too...
