De-cat RS4?

Post by ducatiman » Thu Feb 19, 2009 9:39 am

Hi,

I'm just checking if I de-cat my rs4 and put a spacer as they do on Evo's/Sti's - whether the CEL would still come on?

Spacers usually still end up triggering a code, plus in general, OBD2 readiness isn't generated, which can be a problem nowadays for OBD2 compliant vehicles. A good way to fix this is a proper software upgrade that takes the decat into account ;)

I can vouch for complete straight through pipes...Minhea worked his magic on mine.

The noise with std backbox but stainless downpipes and no restriction is awesome.
