US spec front grille?

I have been trying to find out if there was a standard US spec front grille available? i.e. with no number plate recess?
I much prefer the look without a front plate and didn't run one on my old VR6 as the bumper was smoothed. Never had any trouble from the police and I work on an airfield with a police base....
Can anyone tell me if such a part exists?
Cheers,
Will

Might be worth taking a look at the B7 RS4 forum on Audiworld, several posts on there about a blanking piece that fits where the front number plate normally goes.

Not sure on the recess but most of the American cars i've seen have had a more unactractive grill imho. I think the euro style grill is a common mod over there?

The NA spec grill is the same as a Euro spec grill. There is a "filler plate" that is a separate piece from the grill. This "filler plate" can easily be swapped out. There are 2-3 torx screws on the underside. Unscrew, pull up and it's off.
Here's a few (but I don't recommend ordering from them!)

Porky,
Here are the part numbers for the NA spec filler plates.
B7 S4 (S4/A4 S-line has "C" in the part number and are interchangeable with the RS4)
8E0 807 287 C 3FZ (satin black, black strips) – part of titanium package
8E0 807 287 C 1QP (gray, chrome strips) – standard S4
B7 RS4 (RS4 has "E" in the part number and are interchangeable with the S4/A4 S-line)
8E0 807 287 E 3FZ (satin black, brushed aluminum strips).
None of these have licence plate holder recesses.
Hope this help.
