Chipped Windscreen
Chipped Windscreen
Hello All,
Over the last week or so, I have had quite a few hefty stone chips clattering into the windscreen, mostly whilst driving on the motorway - I suppose the melting snow from the edges of the roads brings the debris onto the main carriage-way. Finally had one yesterday that left a big chip in the windscreen, which is a bit of a pain. I'm covered on the insurance, it's just the time and hassle getting these things done that causes me grief.
Anyone else been getting a lot of direct hits on the windscreen, and any damage? Just curious, 'cos I will be pretty miffed if i spend the time getting it sorted then pick up another one straight away.
Cheers.

Tks all.
I have the cabriolet, and as far as I know there is no aerial or anything in the front windscreen. I think I can probably get away with a repair rather than a replacement, but as one of the previous posters also mentioned, my insurers insist on using a company which isn't especially convenenient so may have to do it privately.
Still slightly worried that given the number of things that have made a huge noise crashing into the windscreen of late that it is only a matter of time before it happens again, but not a lot one can do about that I suppose.
