Never heard of that problem mate, might be a dealer visit is in order.... Probably a simple electrical fix though, hopefully. Good luck

I had this problem assuming we are talking about the main beams?
It happened each time i drove over a manhole cover/uneven road etc.
The problem was cured by having two new headlight ecu's installed under warranty.

Is it both or just one? I had this with the xenons on my Mondeo (one would flicker a lot, then go out after a random amount of time). It was the Xenon bulb going, I left it too long and it eventually blew and took the ballast with it

Not sure if Audi will cover the bulbs under warranty, if not I got my replacement from
www.hids4u.co.uk (that was for the Mondeo)- I think they are the same D2S type bulb in the RS4.

Just to add this was only happening on the drivers side.

mine just got fixed for that exact flickering issue. new ballast under warranty. If your service rep doesn't believe it or pushes you more towards new bulbs, just tell them to replace the ballast and if it still flickers, you'll eat the old ballast (literally, stick it in your mouth and swallow it)
