For months now I have been complaining to Audi that my car just seem to be as powerful as when I got it, they would check and everything would come back as normal.
Well, a few weeks back it when for major service and part of the service was a software upgrade, all checked out normal and I collected the car, however on the way home the EPG light came on, so I turned round went back to Audi.
They redid the software and the same thing happened, so Audi kept the car and started to strip it, eventually found that at sometime in the past one of the flaps in the air intake box had gone faulty, so instead of telling me there was a problem the dumb car just put it into safe mode, i.e all the flaps are fixed to 70% open.
Anyhow they replaced the faulty one and reset the system and now, when my foot is flat, the flaps are all opened 100%.
What a difference, acceleration was dramatically improved and now I get the sucking noise from the airbox.
it was like getting a new car.

Interesting fault and surprised they did not spot first go ....
If you want more power .. remove the flapper in the airbox(but you need to remove the front bumper) and fit an ITG filter ...
