Well I finally have DRC Issues

My car was booked in last week for a its 1st service and by the knock from the front N/S I asked them to check and guess what a leaking shock.

Service Manager called me and said they could get a shock in a couple of days and could do it a week later, they collected the car and guess what broke there machine that pressurises the system so I have to wait unitil tomorrow.

I have got too say I blame the huge number of speed humps in the Uk for this rather than poor design.

I also had issues with the wear on the drivers seat which ended with an argument seems interior trim is only under warranty for six months, salesman never explained that just my three year warranty. My issue is the leather on the seats is starting to split on the upright outside of the bolster Audi Uk said its because I wear jeans, which I don't often, then refused to even talk about the matter.

Sadie from Essex Audi then became involved she is the customer care co-ordinator for the group and she managed to get me a new seat cover.

So far my experience of Stanstead Audi has been pretty good except for the service receptionist talking down to you like you were stupid.

With 2 Dodge Vipers I maintain myself why do they always try to bull*hit you when its so obvious they don't know what they are talking about. :greyrs4:

That's what in the 21st Century is laughingly referred to as "customer service", or in other words "spout enough bullsh.t and enough of the idiots will fall for it".

Lol, so your the reason why the machine was broken when mine needed doing! lol.

I took mine in a week or so ago and had new shocks. Going back for a knock from osf on thursday though.

I must say my exp. of stansted audi has been fantastic, they are so helpful.

Did you get your letter about the 24hrs test drive in RS6?

Where are you based? I think i have seen your vipers (one behind the other) last year. I was oh so very excited as love those cars!

Thanks Pig not had a call re the RS6 trial but will try the salesman.

Meant to add when they changed the seat they broke the recline knob so just had the mobile tec out and fixed that at work.

Got to say as dealers go they have been brilliant.

If you can just get my wifes new TT working with the new IPOD they will have cracked it seems the latest generation charge on a different pin so far the service girl has tried to fob me off with a thats the way it is 3 hour journey and the IPOD is flat so reminded them of the 'Sales of Goods Act' its a new car with a new IPOD.

Overall I think the dealer is brillinat but Audi UK arrogant with the IPOD and seat issue but I guess thats what happens when you have a huge market share, customer care suffers.

Reading all the posts here it seems to me that in the UK you only get three years warranty, here in SA we get five years with a full five year 100 000KM service plan.

Audi UK have extended the DRC warranty to 5 years or 75,000 miles - the warranty on the rest of the car remains at 3 years or 60,000 miles.

According to an employee of Ipswich Audi a circular has been sent to all Audi UK dealers stating that.

But just in case I have a letter from Audi UK confirming it specifically for my car.

I rung them about it the other day. They are looking into it as the stansted sales manager wasnt aware it had been sent out.
Might be an excuse due to the fact that im under 25....we shall see.

The RS6 trial.... they will write to you/should have already. Where are you based? and did you buy the car from the dealer?
Shame about your wifes car, get onto complaint at Audi UK, that should help.

I took mine in today for a knock at the front, they couldnt find it so im taking a tech out tomorrow to demonstrate an obvoius knock. Hey ho, at least they are being positive and suggesting solutions :)

I live near Ware and bought the car new from the dealer the experience was OK the salesman was pretty good and they traded my 54 plate Dodge Ram in against it at a very fair price.

Might consider an RS6 but at a 25K premium over a well spec'd RS4 Audi are taking the p*ss with the price two extra cylinders and 2 turbos for that................dream on.
