RS4 Top speed with Re-map?

Hey, just curious to find out what top speed can be obtained from the RS4 with a remap.
I understand that the environment will have a direct effect on the car such as wind etc, I was told that 175 mph is max, any cars on here reached over that? on another forum one B5 RS4 reached close to 200MPH.

I believe the B5 RS4 was slightly tuned to 650BHP so he had a little bit more power.

I have heard of vmax'ed B7 RS4's reaching 168 mph GPS verified on runways but not sure otherwise

Doug from MRC had 198mph out of his B5 S4 at Vmax. He was running around 500bhp at the time.
Came second on the day with a RUF taking the top speed.

Standard B7, 168 GPS, Indicated just over 170

172 MPH (on speed trap in 5th gear) for a modified B7 RS4 at Brunters & 165 MPH for a stock B7 RS4.
Clock was showing around 182MPH & i had the whole of 6th gear left.

I had mine flat out on a German Autobahn for around 5 minutes showing an indicated 185 mph. Wouldn't go any faster! That was with a DMS remap. We had a similar thread before and I think one of the guys had seen over 190 mph on GPS

Interesting results, would be good to get a Poll going, indicating Avant, Saloon and Convertible Re-map V-MAX times!

Sedan JD remap: 297km/h (185miles/h) on GPS. Sure i could reach 190 with more distance....

Remember the clock over reads so 170 is more like 160. GPS figures are way more accurate.

Interesting point, so i managed an accurate 172MPH through a calibrated timing beam at VMAX & that was at about 50-100RPM off the rev limiter in 5th gear. How long is 6th gear & how much extra top speed would that full gear likely give me?

I was in sixth when I did my top speed run and I seem to remember thinking it might go faster in fifth as I had loads of revs to go, but no more speed - I guess its aerodynamics coming into play!
