I bought a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix infant car seat and the corresponding EasyFix base which has the isofix fitting. However, I can't for the life of me get it to clip into the rear seat fitment due to the curvature of the rear seats. Has anyone else managed this? For now I'm just using the seat belt method.

We have exactly the same car seat and base and they fit fine.

I'll try again, as I must be being stupid.

We have the same (US version, however) infant seat, Maxi Cosi and a B7 RS4 Cab. We clip the base into the inboard LATCH clips at the bight of the seat and have the seat in the middle of the back seat of the car. It took a few tries to "find" the LATCH in the crack, but it's easy peasy for us now. Not sure if US and Europe have same infant seat connectors, but it works for us fine. We were worried about the hump in the center of the rear seat upsetting the balance of the base, but no worries so far. Putting the base on either left or right sides had our front seats just too far forward for comfort. It's tight with it in the center but works. Good luck.
