I've been after an RS4 cabriolet now for about 4 months and have been waiting for funds to clear and the right car to come along!

Luckily for me, prices have also dropped and I managed a steal from an Audi dealership who sold me the car at a loss as they had had it for a while!

Anyway it's a 2006 black cabriolet with black buckets, carbon dash trim and the flat bottom wheel, 12k on the clock, parrot bluetooth and I love it!

They also gave me a pretty good price on px of my 2001 S3...

Photos will follow when the weather is better as it is already filthy!!

Cheers,

Will

Where's the photos then?

What was the spec of your S3, how much did you get?

Welcome to the club...

Great car! Enjoy!

Out of curiosity, when you were searching for the car, did you know anything about possible DRC problems? Has your car had them changed recently, coming from an Audi dealer...?

I had done some research on the DRC problems and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong but I have got a year's warranty on the car so I'll just whine to the dealer if anything at all happens to the car!

My S3 was a 51 plate, Goodwood Green with black leather. Remap, milltek cat back, green cotton panel filter, recirc DV, sachs clutch and hidden boost guage behind the air vent.

It had done 99700 miles and needed a bit of work doing to it but they offered me £4100 which was fine as my local dealer offered me £3500.

In the end this car cost me £31,000 which is really rather reasonable in my opinion!

I would have gave you that for the S3 ;) Sounds like a bargain to me at £31k!

Congratulations and welcome to the fold. Bucket seats you say, I though the standard fit in a soft top was the classic Recaros as the buckets can look a little odd without the lid on - must have been specced that way. Still, enjoy your new motor, bet you can wait to start modding again, he he.

Well done on a good deal. It goes without saying that you will love it.we have the buckets in ours and i love em.
Stroll on summer! although it doesnt have to be warm to enjoy getting the lid off.

Are there any un written rules about when its ok to put the lid down, ie dry and more than 10 degrees ;)

I'm one of these people who needs no excuse to have the top down, although it was a little cold on Sunday morning!! I always point out and complain about cabriolet owners of any make that drive around with the roof up, windows up and air con on in summer! What is the point??!!

I had to have the buckets, much as I like the other seats, I've had them in the S3 and wanted something a little sportier! I don't see why people complain about them, I find them very comfortable and I'm 5'8 and 13stone with a bad back!!

They look awful in cream/tan (whatever it is called) in the cabriolet, but black on black I think looks hard, roof up or down!!

Trying not to mod this one although I have had millions of golfs and have always played around with them.

I think I will do the one touch remote roof closure and get the tv sorted, possibly some spacers....<beep> it's happening already!!!

Congrats on a wonderful car, looks like you got a awesome deal at 31k, and esp such low mileage, I notice you got a parrot BT too, I also had one of these fitted to my car when i bought it. I also was not going to mod mine, I lasted a year before I did lol.

Also like to add, that the buckets look awesome in the Cab, totally sets it off

Congrats! We bought a Cab three months ago and love it love it love it. We live in Palm Springs, California. It's 40's 50's at night in the winter (now) but summers 110-115. It rarely rains, however, and like you, give me top down to hear that glorious motor! Would like to see a poll on Cab owner numbers. Ive seen a few sedans here in Los Angeles, but never another Cab. Ours is hard to miss, Imola Yellow. I've had a slew of silver, black, and other somber colored autos, but the yellow, in person, not photos, won us over.
Enjoy it you lucky guy!
