Hi Guys

I am thinking about swapping my saloon for an estate. I need the extra room!

I've not been in an Avant. I presume its the same driving experience! Please let me have you thoughts and comments on your ownership of the RS4 Avant

Thanks

I originally went out in a saloon which was owned by a chap called Glyn ... But, really what do you need the extra room for ? I have a couple of hobbies so I need the space and the RS4 replaced a 996 and VXR vectra ....

Having had an S4 saloon before my RS4 Avant, the load space is far more accessible in the Avant because of the design of the saloon boot and its high tail lip and the rectractable load cover in the Avant but no better in rear leg room TBH.

If anything I prefer the Avant handling because of the weight over the rear axle, it felt far more planted than the two saloons I test drove.

Is there such a thing as an RS Saloon??

3 Avants so far, and wouldn't ever change...

Thanks for your comments - Not sure about the cock entry though!!

There is obviously a touch of friction between saloon and Avant drivers!!

Avant drivers just know only they have a "real" RS.

The RS2 was never made as anything other than an Avant, so that makes saloons and cabrios pretenders.

A saloon is a "real" RS? Its not an S, or an A, its an RS!

The B7 doesnt have Porker parts, so are any of them a "true" RS in your sense of the word? ;)

Course they are
Its the same as the reccarros are better than buckets and an RS is not a proper rs unless it has a flat bottomed wheel argument.
Having said that only people partial to the cinnamon star and pompadour hair styling products buy cabs.
In there eyes audi missed out two letters from the rs branding, an a at the beggining and and an e from the end. :D

The only reason Audi make RS saloons is because Americans don't understand "wagons", so they buy almost exclusively "sedans".
