Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta OEM size @ £115 each!

Post by elliot330 » Wed Dec 10, 2008 1:29 pm

Rather than hijack Pippyrips thread I’d thought I’d start mine own!

Needing new tyres, and seeing the other thread about Vredestein Sessanta’s got me thinking…

After a little research and a few emails I have found a supplier who can supply OEM sizes, 255 x 35 x 19 for £115 each inc VAT. Which is much cheaper than anywhere else I could find.

I did have the last four they had in stock, however they are due more in a couple of weeks...

Not sure if we are allowed to post links here?? Let me know and I will post or PM the company.

I have just ordered four inc delivery for £470.60p

One thing to bear in mind is local tyre fitters aren’t happy about mail order tyres, so make sure you have a fitter lined up before ordering them. I found a local independent guy in Swindon that will fit four tyres for £50.

They should be here Thursday, or Friday, depending on DHL.

Anyone want a photo..?! After they arrive that is!

That seems crazily cheap. They weren't that price because they were the last/only 4 were they?

In pippyrips' post, the tyrexpress price has risen to nearly 170 quid mail-order. Seems like demand (from good reviews) has pushed the price wayyy up.

I'd be interested to know if Knights will still honour that price even though they now don't have any in stock and would have to order them.

Could anyone report back if they place an order please. Cheers.

Had a funny feeling it was too good to be true!! Just phoned Kevin and was told that the price was a foul-up. Apparently they'd charged for the 235/35 tyre and not noticed until afterwards and had lost money..

So I still persevered with the conversation and asked how much they really are and how soon for delivery.

Price each 131.60 (inc. VAT)

Delivery for the first week of January.

So not the end of the world pricewise - still cheaper than tyrexpress but waiting for 'em is a bit of a bugger as my tyres are now getting very low.

If they are still available go for the 275 at £118. More grip and better rim protection for less...

Two questions: Will the 275s go on my 19s without rubbing and 2nd where from at that price. Thanks.

Aha! Finally found the 118 quid ones. They are the 275 30 19s from tyrexpress. Incidentally, the 255's are most definitely 167 quid. Now all I need to know is whether they will go on my 19" RS6+ 5 arm wheels...

I can only speak about my B7 but have I've had no problems with 275 30 f1s on the factory wheels.

Seconded, although i'm sure i never had the wierd turn on lock rubber noise with the 255's. Performance is excellent overall.
