Id take it as a compliment. The only reason they are slating the rs4 is because BMW have had terrible m3 sales and lost out to the rs4. Maybe a little pressure from somewhere in Germany is starting to filter through.
Personally although I love top gear I would never take any thing they say as gospel as more often than not I get the feeling that their reviews are written for effect rather than technical reality.
It is a funny show though.

I met a cock yesterday - driving a Vauxhall Astra.

The drivers of RS4's being cocks things started with E46 M3 drivers now buying RS4's, but the resoning behind it got lost along the way and now all RS4 drivers are cocks. However I am sure they will all go back to driving the new M3's now it is being deemed as the ultimate supersaloon and given the hammering in residuals they have recently had.

As for Jezza being tailgated by one, someone probably took exception to his comments and unfortunately vented their frustration in the wrong way at him. Either that or he was poncing about on the outside lane in his Gallrdo Spyder on his mobile phone again and they simply wanted past. Hammond is right about one thing though, an extremely good car to drive.

All in all status quo will be gained again at some stage and the cocks will return to M3's or diversify to IS-F's and C63's.

Personally, Im delighted to be regarded as a cock. Over the past few years Ive loved driving my 2.7 S4 and then my V8 S4 - universally derided by journalists as not being "drivers cars".

I was worried about the praise heaped on the RS4 - I love it. It didnt suit me being in a car being praised by the balding Yorkshireman. Im now happy as a sandboy! Its a fantastic car, just enjoy it.
