New Tyres Needed

Post by mdca99 » Sun Nov 30, 2008 3:01 pm

Guys,

I Realise that there have been Numerous Threads about Tyres !

I am after the Best Price as I have Opted for F1's 255/40 and Best Quote I have seen is 182.10 per Corner from My Tyres.

These are Delivered !

I live in Shrewsbury and should be able to get them Fitted Locally, So I just need them Delivered.

Has anyone seen or know about a better Deal as I need to Buy this Week ?

Any Help would be most Appreciated.

Cheers

M

255/35 Tyres

Post by mdca99 » Sun Nov 30, 2008 6:44 pm

Thanks for the update.

I assume that the £200 Eagle F1 Assymetrical are better than the GS D3 tyres ?

Is £800 a Decent price from my tyres or are there better suppliers ?

Cheers

I would not buy from event tyres - they cant even balance tyres properly!

Goodyear do not make the GSD3's anymore. The F1's are the direct replacement and are superb. The best tyre out there IMO.

probably a wild generalisation as there are many many different fitters but you obviously had an unfortunate experience

Hi mdca99,

Just fitted GY F1 275/30 from Michelin Pilots 255/35,can't believe the difference. Car rides smoother and the grip is fantastic, wet or dry.(They must be good because the wife has commented.) Paid £755 all in from Kwik-Fit. (not even a mark on the wheels)

Just fitted some F1's really tight fit to put on, but worth it. Your price is very similar to what I paid at Jeffreys Performance tyres in Warrington.

I've got my GY 275/30s going on Saturday. Got a quote from Kwikfit for £311 a corner, then ordered them online (from Kwikfit) for £177.64. Apparently GY's prices went up yesterday.

I'm looking forward to trying them.
