£1100 is very cheap for any system with valves.
As for which type; iI have a non res and love it. Others will disagree but personally I don' t think there is enough difference between a resonated system and simply disconecting the oe exhaust vales to justify the cost otherwise.

i have the res system with valves, sounds just nice with sport off, and sounds awsome when its turned on, does have a ear bleeding drone at low revs under load, but still very happy,
would like to know how much louder it is with non res pipes ?

Non valved non non res sounds the best. Been in Pippy's motor and sounds no different than stock with the valves open from inside. If, like me, you drive with the s button all the time, you wont notice much difference in the car with the loud system. But from outside it sounds much meaner and raspier.
Personally, don't see the point in getting a quiet exhaust for a V8 when you have a good system anyway.
And as for price, way too much. Should be £800 ish tops. Call APS or Miltek themselves.

I've also been looking at swapping for a miltek exhaust with valves but just not sure whether to go for resonated or non. I'd like it to sound like the new C63 AMG which sounds proper. Don't suppose anyone has an RS4 with a miltek fitted near to the Sheffield area that I could have a listen to?? Does a miltek affect the manufacturers warranty at all?

lol 414BHP - have you had it rolling roaded?

Only joking!
The pipes will not invalidate your warranty at all... Oh and maybe try a GMG system?

That's not 100% guaranteed.
Audi COULD use the fitment of a non-OE exhaust as a reason to invalidate manufacturers warranty on any item THEY judge to have been affected by the fitment, e.g the engine.

Its hard to find a B7 with a oem exhaust these days
But agree, yes, they could call in this issue if they see fit...

And if they start cost cutting, since there are so few RS4 with OE exhausts this would be an obvious place to start cutting warranty costs...

They would find it difficult to invalidate any claim as long as you stay rearward of the cats. Most, if not all, VAG warranties work on non warranty of exhaust systems post cats and cannot therefore use it both ways. The only thing they would have a point on is poor fitment that damages other items such as underseals or cats.

Fontain is selling non res and res exhausts for £1600 and £1700 respectively WITHOUT valves not including fitting!
I hope no MUG has bought the exhaust upgrade from these guys!
