RS4 Stolen

Hi, becoming all too familiar these days, my Black RS4 saloon was stolen a couple of nights ago

Brick through the kitchen window, took my keys and then drove the car through the garage door. Thats right, though the garage door!! so must be some front end damage.

Tracker pinged once and then disappeared

Please keep your eyes out

Im from Henley, Oxon, so it will be somewhere in the SE I expect.

ITs what the police told me, so dont really know what pinged once means.

I have been told RS4's are the most targetted cars, so suggest all RS4 drivers watch out for anyone scoping you. I had someone out the back of my house watching my car, thought they just liked it, admiring it etc, maybe them or someone similar fancied it just a bit too much.

I've been wanting the new shape RS4 for a while so this is gutting.

Really sorry to hear about the loss, would be absolutely gutted. As an aside and sorry to cause more misery, are these motors fairly easy to nick without keys?

Nope, that's why a lot of stolen RS4's are accompanied by break in's to peoples homes to retrieve keys.

Sorry to hear what happens, but the reality is that if someone really wants your car that badly, they can get it. Your life is always worth more than what is in effect a lump of metal

I think with the security now in the cars, there is no other choice for thiefs other than get the keys. You really want to catch these people but i think they are far more use to confrontation than most law abiding citizens.

The worst thing is, because me and my wife are starting a family, it puts you off haveing one of these great cars again, i just dont want to invite this type of attention. its a S&%t

Sorry to hear your news mate. I caught some scrote taking picks of my car the other day, as soon as I approached him he just walked away sheepish. Worrying part about it a colleague saw the very same guy photographing a Bentley Cont just round the corner, 30 mins earlier. These parasites on society make f***ing sick. I spend hours trying to come up with ways of disabling/securing the car, but the bottom line is we are the weak link. We have also just invested in another Doberman, its absolutely mad, but what can you do!

Does anyone know anything about these cut out systems that safely disable the car and lock the scum inside, ready for the police.

SO, latest info. The car was seen early hours friday morning travelling in eccess of 100mph. If i ever get this car back or invest in another (unlikely, ill probably have to have a boring car) then ill get it fitted with a much better device. I dont know about many so for the good of the AUdi comunity i think it would be good to share info on such devices, ie tracker, immobilizers etc.

Guys, something to think about:

Revo has a serial port programming module that has an anti-theft feature. Before going to bed, just load the anti-theft software into the car, and it can't even be started. Next morning, just load the unlocker to deactivate the anti-theft software and drive off. As long as the thieves have no idea where the programming unit is, and how to use it, the car cannot be driven off.

Would this work?
