Advice Please

Post by tbloke99 » Wed Oct 01, 2008 5:56 pm

Had the car about 3 weeks now, and have recently noticed that the car sits lower on the back end than the front ( Maybe about an inch). Is this normal or does it point towards a suspension problem. Its an 07 with 14K
Thanks

Sometimes the handbrake being on can make the car squat at the back particularly if on a slight incline. Does it do it without the HB being applied?

or could it be that the drc fluid has leaked out of the shocks and is making it sit lower...?

Mine's an Avant, and sits lower at the rear. Not a worry.

Sounds perfectly normal to me too - mine's got SS+, and the rear tyre is level with the wheel arch (if not above). On the front there's plenty of clear air...

Just had a look and mine does have the "2ME" option so thats "Super Sports Suspension with Variable Shockers". Variable how?

Variable as in sometimes they leak, sometimes they don't!

Seriously, 2ME is indeed SS+

It was a £500 option that gave "Firmer spring and shock absorber settings than standard, and approx 10mm lower"

PM me with your e-mail address if you want a PDF of the 07 brochure - doesn't give any more info on SS+, but might help you identify other options

Isn't there a VAG options code decipherer (is that a word?) somewhere on this website?
