Suspension Plus

Hi,

my car has the sport suspension plus package which makes the driving of the car very hard, almost same as my GT3. Given that I drive the car mainly with my wife and child I am looking to change back to the standard suspension. Either I just change the dampers or also get different springs. Any expirence in this?

You may get someone who has standard suspension on their RS4 that wants SS+ and then all you have to do is get a garage to swap them over.

Has been done onf here before.

Speak to Raudiguy, he might be just about to replace his springs .... what is your car, Avant or Saloon ?

Andy you read my mind!! Was just going to ask if the car was a saloon or avant?

TEE I'm looking at changing my spring so may have some standard springs for you, however they are different depending on saloon or avant, mine is a saloon. let me know. If it's an avant Andy would you consider a swap?

Mines an 07 Saloon with standard suspension & i'd be more than happy to do a straight swap with your SS+.

My RS4 had SS+ and I did not find the ride too hard, and Icertainly would not compare it to a GT3. Has your DRC been checked? are you inflating the tyres to much?

Just a quick one guys.Not sure if my car has SS Plus.Apart from visually how can i find out quickly?? Can i find out from the"options fitted" sticker in the manual.If so anyone know the code?

2MU=SS+
2MC=SS

You fit SS+ and you won't get snow-chains on....AFAIK...or it'll make it a real PITA.

Hence my reluctance.

| don't think the saloon and avants are swappable,different spring colours?i.e. ratings!
also the bars are different.

My old RS4 had SS+ and my new one is just standard suspension, and for me, I wouldn't ever go back to SS+ it was too much for everyday use - especially on the roads around here.

I have an Avant with 12 tkm on it. Swap is a good theory but difficult in praxis. that said I would consider selling the dampers and springs after the fact if I end up doing it.
