I recently had my front suspension changed at my local stealers which was fine as they were leaking but I now have a knocking/clunking coming from the front end. The car has been back to the stealers who have told me this is normal. I have disputed this as I never experienced anything like this before the suspension was changed. Since then they have told me they don’t have a clue what the problem is and therefore can’t fix it. Does anyone have any experience with this? And am I correct in thinking it could be the dreaded DRC.

Sounds like a DRC issue to me. Get yourself down to Perth Audi instead - and stop chasing motorbikes ;)

Mine developed a knocking noise from the front near side, about 6weeks after the front shocks were changed (DRC failure). I had the car back to the dealer 3 times and the techs said it was the exhaust (Miltek). Eventually the master tech got involved and he stripped down the suspension himself and found that a plastic cap on top of the damper had become dislodged (poor design), which was making the knocking noise. He refixed the cap, pumped up all the dampers to 16bar and now the only knocking noise I hear is my brain rattling everytime I go over a bump - handling is fantastic though - for the time being

I too had leaky front shocks replaced, only to be replaced with knocking front end. The car went back in and the system was re-pressurized and the front hoses replaced. The knocking went away, but after 5,000 miles t looks like it is back again. No more leaks that I can see, though.

I have since been back to the stealers to get my brake fluid changed and of course they can't find anything wrong with my suspension (whilst on a ramp going nowhere fast?????) I did ask them about the charge pressure to which they replied it’s fine Sir, I then called Audi UK who took my details and promised to call me back, I’m still waiting.

My car was in Audi yesterday as they had a specialist here to check everything over. I received the car back last night and what a difference, it feels more confident on & around the corners, plus it feels much firmer. They basically checked for leaks, nothing found so they drained the system, refilled and recharged. Fingers crossed
