Im starting to wish I had the RS4 Avant now instead of the Saloon, (does any one else feel the same way sometimes?).

Do you think it would be dumb to trade in my 06 fully loaded saloon for a same specced Avant?......prob a bit of a odd ball queston really, but its been playing on my mind for quite a bit now, has any one dont it on here?

:?

Personally, I would, since I really like the Avants, assuming that the prices are pretty close.

It definately looks better and more exclusive as an Avant. The saloons look more like S-Lines

i chose the avant over the saloon for no other reason than looks and not once have i regretted it. Avants slightly more exclusive and a bit more heritage as in rs2's etc only coming in avant but all imho.

ps also enjoy the looks when people hear it and then see its "only an audi estate" usually as it passes them :)

Second both of those comments.

IMHO the only "real"RS is an Avant.

The stunned reaction from the young lads in a slammed chav-mobile when "Granddad in his estate car" leaves them for dead when the lights turn green just has to be seen - I love it!

I saw a black avant on friday at a car show room forecourt in Harrogate , did not stop to look at the price but if you are looking it might be worth a look, the forecourt was on the main road leaving Harrogate in the direction of Knaresbourgh , I think, as I am not a local I could be totally wrong about the road but you do go past the show hall on your right before you get there.

How do you know you don't need it?

Several times we've been able to buy large items (e.g. a dishwasher) at a bargain price, but only if we took it away there and then - in an Avant we can and did. In a saloon.......?????

I wouldn't even think of the Avant as an estate - think of it more as a big hatchback. Far more practical than the saloon, IMHO.
