Revo map

Post by Brooner » Thu Jul 24, 2008 8:41 am

Anyone on here got a revo map. have been toying with the idea of a remap but Jim at star performance who i would trust up here only dose a speed limiter removel and not a re map. All the othere that i would trust MRC, APS, DMS are in deepest Englandshire so a long way to go if i have problems after, or the dealer flashes the ecu. there is a revo dealer close to hand around 1 1/2 hr's away. but would be interested in anyone how has experince of this map.

Know an 18 year old boy who has 9 points, is awaiting a d/d court date likes a bit of crack now and then, very fast driver says he'll take it down and back for you for £100.
I think that's a cracking offer, what do you think ??

REVO did my map on my B6 S4 and custom tuned it to the car car a r/r, did an excellent job. However thay are in different hands now, I doubt it compromises the quality of the product.

Can't comment on a RS4 rempa but I doubt the basic parameters are any different.

Go to checkpoint and ask big Dave for the free 5 hour map, than you can decide after that.

Had a Revo map done on my wife's old 1.8T Sport A4 cab and it was ok. Not great just ok. Had a Revo map done on my V10 Touareg and I could not tell the difference at all. Considering these were both turboed cars I thought they would have been a lot better.

Had an APS map on my B7 RS4 - OMG different car absolutely fantastic!! Now it may just be the car but i dont think I would have had it mapped if it was another Revo, in my honest opinion.

Brooner, let us know if you try this as I'd be interested possibly if it proved conclusive.

They're just up the road from me, as I'm from that village originally.
AFAIK they are new to the 'tuning scene', so bear that in mind.

That's about twice what most other tuners are getting... what does he do differently?

That's what I was thinking!!
Perhaps his remaps are £10K, and he throws in a free supercharger!

i Suppose the other altirnitive is to bite the bullit and run down to MRC as the only tuners up here i would trust is Jim at Star performance but as i metioned he only dose a speed limit removel but think i will get the stealers to flash it back to 07 software first and see if that helps anything

Try the Revo trial from Checkpoint, then make up your mind after that. It's free! Then i'd recommend either Custom Code or MRC.
