DRC - fluid availability and Audi's knowledge of the prob

All,

I understand that DRC fluid is now in the UK and so should be making its way to dealers asap.

Also, it seems, from what i'm picking up, that the heightened awareness of this has absolutely got through to Audi UK.

I suspect they're as frustrated by these supply slip ups, and of course the actual issue, as we are.

Well I hope you're right about the fluid - I've been without my car for just about four weeks now. :(

As for Audi being as frustrated as us... maybe. I guess they must at least be getting a tad hacked off with all the letters and e-mails. But the proof will only be evidenced by them actually doing something constructive.

The latest I had from them was an e-mail from Jeremy Hicks' assistant on Wednesday. She said they still had no idea of timescales on the fluid but would reply in full to my original letter by the end of this week - I can hardly wait for tomorrow's post!

Took my car to Epsom Audi last Friday who found DRC issues, they were short on fluid so they got some from another dealer by Tuesday. So if you've been without your car for 4 weeks I would suggest your dealer isn't trying and a sense of humour failure with the dealer principle might help !

I have complained to Jeremy Hicks at Audi UK and been promised by his assistant that they (and local stealer) are doing all they can. You might be right but I would be surprised if they weren't trying reasonably hard - I wouldn't think they would want me to have the RS4 I have as a loaner for any longer than really necessary. I believe there is also at least one, possibly two, other RS4s waiting at my local stealer for the same thing.

I do want my own vehicle back but to be honest I don't have the time or inclination to keep chasing them in the (probably vain) hope of getting it back a bit sooner.

Do you really need to ask?

I was going to give it a couple more days and then chase but you have inspired me to drop an e-mail right now! I'll be sure to post as and when I hear anything.

Not really! I just thought I would keep the topic up there at the top... nothing annoys me more than being being told something is going to happen and then nothing does...

Just goes to show how high we are on his 'to-do list'
