My Audi RS4 Has Just Been Stolen

Got woke up at 3:15 am by the neighbour who heard his dog barking, then my car been started and driven off very fast.
Ran downstairs, they've broke through the back door, walked through the house into the hallway and taken the keys (from what i thought was a hidden place)
I'm dumnstruck. Never thought this would happen to me. Police have just left.
I'm in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. they believe it has headed towards West Yorkshire.
Please keep your eyes peeled. it is an 06 RS4 in Sprint blue. Standard other than a private Reg - MJK ***.
The main thing is they left me, my wife and our 4 month old daughter alone.
I have often wondered whether to bring my car keys upstairs with me...if they hadn't found them downstairs would they have come upstairs ?? I dread to think what they would have done to get the keys

Sorry to hear that! As previously said, at least you & your family are safe!
I realy hate these thieving scumbag b**tards, I'd love to take a blow torch to their b*lls!! *&%
It seems to me these days though that the cars must be reasonably difficult to steal without the keys. It's maybe time to look at how secure our homes are!!!
Good luck Terzo333!

So sorry to hear that. I had a TT stolen via the same process a few years back. Front door smashed in & the keys taken from inside the house.

Gulp...Not very nice at all Terzo, glad you and your family are ok, its an awful thing to know someone has been in your house like that. I am also in Harrogate, so Id better hide my keys in case these scumbags are operating locally...

So sorry to hear that but i've just looked at your details and you must be Michael Kitchins i can see where you work you've told me you own an RS4.
All this thief has had to do is then follow you home.
I think anyone giving personal info like this should remove it, we obviously have some people other than enthusiasts looking at this site.
Don't give them any info whatsoever !!

and the insurance will pay out.
Actually they may not, if the keys were used
ive heard of a couple of instances where owners have not got insurance cover because the owner didnt take enough precausions to hide the keys safely or hide them way in a safe.
I just hope that your not going to be one of the unfortunate ones.
Main thing is that you are safe and so are your family, im advice ...
GET A BIG DOG

Mine was stolen too, I was actually in it at the time!! I am very glad they did not come into the house, I would definately leave the keys downstairs, they dont want you they want the car, let them take it and do not put your family through any more trauma than you have too...

( I feel for you, its a terrible experience...
