33.5K ....I'm not being cheeky by the way, my mate works for Leicester Audi and i know they are stealing these things at the moment! Last week they bought a Saloon 6k miles, sat-nav, buckets, in daytona.. sounded like a nice car and they paid £34k for it!

It's bonkers what they are making on them, something to bear in mind i sold my 07/57 Avant, in phantom black, titanium alloys, silver recaros, optic pack sunroof, 7k on the clock, sports suspension plus and sat nav for £48.5k in march this year....the best part about it was that i sold it back to Sytner Audi... so you can only guess what they sold it for it must have more that what i paid for it new!!!!

The buyer from Sytner phoned me to ask me if i wanted to sell it saying that he had someone wanting the spec mine had, i was nt really bothered about selling it and i thought it over for a week before i decided to accept their offer but it was a fantastic offer, he showed up with his cheque book, wrote me a cheque and had the car collected from me 4 days later

Iwould be interested to know if the new owner is on here because i have some great photos of when i picked the car up on september the first from the dealer, and i would like to pass them on... the reg no is **57RMY

**edited for poor sphellhing***

It was against a new mini JCW's and they bid 35k. Now what I dont want is for this to be taken out of context as they quite obviously didnt want the car as they already have one on the forecourt and I am waiting for a rival garage to get back to me with a bid of 5k more.
The actual trade price is allegdly 39-40 depending on who you talk to. The Audi garages are making a fortune out of them, one car same spec as mine was purchased a couple of months back for 41k and sold for 46k. Just because of the situation with fuel every dealer is making out that all big engined cars are surplus to requirement and while I agree to a certain degree with the run of the mill cars I think Rs4s will cope better. We will see. I hate seling cars, love buying them though.

47k sounds about right. As you know they is a retail price, trade in price bla bla bla...
What ever car you sell they will be something wrong with it or something major it does not have therefore its not a desirable model. As the end of the day your gonna loose a lot of money.
I tried to sell a Range Rover Supercharger which took me ages to find as it had to be black, low milage with beige leather and have all the extras. I was told to expect a big loss with large engine cars due to petrol prices and environmental geeks. 'Typical' I really felt like knocking him oot as his offer was a complete joke.
I would agree with low 30k if not less for your car but shop around there is big differences oot there. But there all robbing bar stewards

Over the last few years dealers seem to want around 4k in a car of this price but of late there are a few that are just not happy with tahtand want 7k. If you look on pee heads one dealer, i think stratford audi have 2 or 3 cars up for 46/47k. They must think they can sell them for that. its great for us and I hope more do it as it drags the average price up. In fact what we ought to do is all of us stick our cars up for 45k and then a week later mark them as sold. A bit of price fixing never hurt anyone

there is a BIG drop coming on these cars, the trade prices being offered is not due just to excessive mark up - they are not selling.

There are main dealers with 50 cars in stock all of which were purchased over the current book price - the market has collapsed and dealers are faced with serious stock problems - even huge dealer networks like Sytner are simply not buying stock

They may ask for £47k but there will be NO takers

The country is about to implode with fuel prices, rampant inflation, housing crash etc.

If people dont need it they are not buying it

But they are always desirable motor and rare.

I think the B5 will survive the test of time longer and become a classic (it's rare only 440 in the UK and a high percentage have been written off. Low mileage examples will start to appreciate in say ten years time when cars like ours will be things of the past and all hybrids or hydrogen cells etc...

I'm SO glad I got out of my B7 over a year ago and got nerly list price for it!

Spire Automotive (Watford, Finchley Road, etc) had mine for 38,000 last week: 9000 miles, Phantom Black saloon, buckets, Nav. Was hoping for 40 but 38 was fine by me. One VW dealer offered me 34 against a used GTI... nearly spat my coffee out. If anybody here is looking at taking LS07EMX from them (currently up for £42,950) be aware that there is still an unresolved knocking sound over some speed bumps that they couldn't fix; two new clutches (the current one is fine, but has slipped and burned a few times) and front shocks replaced. It's in really good nick all told, though - never really driven that hard.
