Why ?
You've only had it a year, and in absolute mint condition.
I think your asking price is spot on, very few 07 cars for sale.
What you getting ?
Mint Optic Pack saloon in Daytona Grey (Now sold)
B7 RS4 in Sprint Blue (Gone to a very good new home)
Evo V1 (wish i'd kept)
Numerous M3s

Not 100% selling yet. but will only sell the wheel if the car is sold as if it is not sold I still want it as my spare, the same goes for the matts.
In short we have 2 gas guzzling cars and I want to keep one. If the rs4 sells then its going to be something cheap and a track car. If the x5 sells I will keep the rs4. Its starting to take the mick when you have two cars that between them average 20mpg and the x5 is a diesel

Hi Arsey4, do what I just did, ditched the E70 X5 4.8 for the Q7 4.2 TDI for the family and still got my RS4 for my own enjoyment. The Q7 is miles ahead of the X5 in many ways: performance, build quality, fuel consumption to name a few.

even the 3.0 tdi Q7 will struggle to return more than 25mpg not sure how the 4.2 would solve any problems?? plus I'm guessing the X5 is the 3.0d so it's 6 and two 3's really against a Q7. An A4 2.0 tdi avant might be a better solution.

I know how you feel tho, bloody goverment have ruined this country.........
Current car..... hmmmmm????

I'm talking about Q7 4.2 TDI, not 4.2 petrol - it uses 11.1L/100km (that's about 25.4mpg), most media review says it averages 12.9L/100km on tests (21.9mpg). My first tank was 12.3L/100km (22.9mpg) and that's still not bad for a 2.5tonne SUV that does 0-100kph in 6.4 sec. it has 760Nm of torque!!!

I know you were talking about the 4.2 tdi, I'm just saying it's not going to be more economical than a 3.0 tdi X5, yes compared to a 4.8 petrol X5 I can see your point, but your origanol post doesn't help Arsey4 one bit. he'd be selling an X5 worth around 30/35k and spending 50+K on a 4.2 TDI Q7 as well as now having to spend more on derv for it! Might as well stand in the shower ripping up £50 notes all day!!!

We are quite prepared to keep both but it really grinds that the x5 is doing 22 around town. The original idea was to one of a few things.
Sell both and get a 911 and a hatchback tdi
Sell the rs4 and get a tdi and a caterham accademy car with the races
Problem is BMW are affering peanuts for x5 and there are a few for sale on pee heads.
Well see. :?

I can vouch for that having had one for a week recently - mid 20's mpg at best(!) from the 3.0 tdi :?
