Just got my bill in for my car tax, £440!!

What a rip off!

Just don't buy a new high-end Audi then or you'll be paying over a grand in "showroom tax!"

So what does all our money go on?

Not the roads... tax goes up, road quality goes down... Grrrr

Got to feed the Governments total balls up of the buget some how

That's odd! Are you sure hbk? I've just (today) renewed mine online and it was "only" £400. Still a b****y rip off. Roads just get worse..... (Better not get me started)

Car Tax for the RS4 is £400 in 2008/9, £440 in 2009/10 and £455 in 2010/11. This was announced in the 2008 Budget Specch with full details in the Budget Report (which I downloaded).

So anything that says £440 for 2008/9 is wrong!

Don't wish top rub it in lads, but just got my renewal through for my Jan '01 B5 RS4 - £185 for 12 months

that will be American tax money on the roads in Iraq lol, I dont even know where ours goes!

Regarding the condition of the roads, I took right turn into a road on the way home and almost made Australia!! Pulled over straight away to check for damage but thankfully i seem to have escaped.

I still took a picture of the hole just in case though!

Only consolation, the smart car I use for work is only £35

Yep, received the reminder and it says £440, I will give them a ring tomorrow.
