Wiring question

Post by Musar » Mon Apr 21, 2008 3:12 am

Hi folks,

I'm looking to run a cable from the engine bay into the glove compartment of my B7 RS4. I've not done this kind of thing before and I don't really know where to start. I also need a switched 12v supply from either inside the cabin or preferably the engine bay.

It's for a camera set up I'm working on. I'll be sure to post pics once I'm done as it's a pretty cheap set up.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Neil

HI Neil

As its only for a camera and therefor I guess low power consumption, would it not be easier to either plug it into the cigarette lighter or wire it into the back of it? A lot easier to get to!

Take a link off the fuse box - I did this for the Camera GPS thing and it is very neat.

Thanks guys, I'll look into those options. How easy is it to get the cables through from the engine bay?
