Range: 0 miles

My car is parked at the station with the range meter reading zero. Will I make it to 2 miles to the petrol station?

My XKR used to do 30-40 miles on zero but I suspect German efficiency may mean that zero means zero...

Thanks, my searching skills clearly aren't very good.

This was interesting though:

Will try that tonight.

If just gone to 0 then you'll easy get another 10 miles out of it, there is IIRC a 3 litre reserve.

I've never found this hallowed 'button' though.

Nor me - all I can find is the rubber buffer stop against which the filler flap rests when closed, and that can't be pressed in...

I'm glad it's not just me then....

It should be just inside where the fuel nozzle goes in, if the same as the B5 - looks like a rubber bit on the left
You should be able to pull your nozzle out slightly and push it with the fuel nozzle, then return the fuel nozzle to re-fill that extra bit

FYI - just the other day I was at 0 for 20 miles before refuelling my B5 RS4... was pretty scary though as I would have been VERY stuck if I ran out...

I've been told to change the petrol filter once this has happened.

The button is there - it is just inside the filler neck, on the left hand side, a little metal slider - makes you look a little strange at the pumps though ;)

I found the button too. Never used it while filling, but had to reassure myself that it was there!

I regularly go '-20' in my B5 RS4. I have run out once, and that was around 28 miles, plus an uphill climb. When your about to run outyou will hear the pump whine much louder than it normally does. Even when this starts you have a couple of miles left. ;)

The button is good! I am getting 330miles out of a tank by pressing it! Makes your finger dirty though!!!!!!!!!!
