So, having pulled the door mirror off yesteday ("I was trying to fold it in"), the wife has today kerbed one of my front alloys.
Needless to say relations in the Robbo household are a bit frayed !!!
Anyway, two questions :
1) How much is a genuine replacement front alloy from Audi.
2) As the damage isnt too bad, does anyone know a good alloy wheel refurbisher in the west surrey area.

Dave (can't recall his last name) but was recommended to be by Camberley Audi Service Dept. so they can give you his details. He re-furbed all 4 of my wheels a few weeks ago & the job was perfect & i'm a fussy bugger. Cost me £50 per corner as i dealt direct.

Endorsing the multitude of previous posts; Lepsons have just done a superb job on 3 of mine. Their attention to detail is terrific (correctly torquing bolts & correct pressures etc). I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I'm told the secret with the RS4 wheels is in the high temperature baking after spraying.......

When replacing a wheel on the car, can the valve and tyre pressure sensor from the old wheel be fitted to the new wheel?

They can so long whoever is taking the tyre and valve off your old wheel is careful not to break the valve.

I've actually got the guy recommended by Camberley Audi coming round this morning to refurb my damaged alloy. Will let everyone know how it goes. BTW, his name is Dave, and the company are called Excel.

I've used Automotive Repair Systems (
www.automotiverepairsystems.co.uk) a few times and have been very impressed with their alloy wheel refurbishment skills (this is the firm that my local Audi service centre uses for such work).

Well, I had the damaged wheel refurbed today. As it turned out Dave didn't come in person, but actually sent a colleague by the name of Jon Salmon.
Jon did a great job on the wheel. You genuinely cannot see where the damage was, and the paint matching is first class. Overall a top job, and a top bloke.

Do these people respray the whole wheel or for very small rim scuffs can they do a local repair?

This was a local repair. Wheel stayed on the car.
I believe they can also do complete wheel resprays if required.
