Southern Bluetooth Retrofit Installer

I've been in touch with Craig and Lee but unfortunatley due to work commitments and having a new baby I can't get up north for at least a couple of months.

Does anyone know who could retrofit the bluetooth telephone module in the south?

Thanks in advance.

I'm interested too in getting the retrofit done (also from Bedfordshire). So if there is anyone not too far please let me know or get in touch!

Thanks

Yes it is an excellent thread and I think I may be able to achieve it but does anyone know where I can buy a kit from?

Maybe if 2/3 of us can get together and arrange a date/place nearby we can persuade Craig to come down and fit all our cars at once?

Thanks once again Jim.

I met up with Nick from AVS at West London Audi. He fitted the bluetooth module and did a fantastic job - I'd recommend him 100%. He also changed the startup logo on the RNS-E to the RS4 one which is a bonus.

The phone I use is the Nokia N95 8GB version and it syncs and works as it should. You do have to load the Nokia 810 software onto the phone first though and make sure you have the latest "Q" Audi bluetooth module in order for the phonebook to copy across.

I don't think I'm allowed to post Nick's details so if anyone wants them please PM me.

One question though - Do the contacts in the phone book always show as surname and then first name? On my N95 the contacts are first name and then surname but i can't seem to emulate this on the RNS-E screen.

Cheers.

I have an N95 although the original model, not the slightly newer 8gb, but i was told these symbian handsets just won't sync (phonebooks) with the Audi Bluetooth. Can you confirm what this 810 software is & if this can functionality is only possible on the 8gb version. Not sure what version of Bluetooth module i have, but it was installed last Summer & supplied by craigyb.
