I placed my order today for a Mugello Blue RS4 with silver nappa interior, Recaro seats, ti and convenience package with rear air bags.

Here's my list of questions:
Why does the RS4 have 8 piston front brakes and single piston rear? Most of what I was comparing had 6 piston front, 4 piston rear.

What are the major changes in the 2008 vs an 07?

Are the DRC issues I've read about inherent to all B7 RS4s? Were they resolved with Service Bulletins?

I've read mixed reviews as to the ride quality. Any comparisons as to what I should be expecting?

I've not seen a great deal of information on the Ti pacakge, I mainly went with it because I liked the Ti colored wheels--should look great with the Blue! What does the front grill look like?

And I guess this seems like a pretentious question, but if you could have had any car--would the RS4 still be on your list? For me, I was seriously considering the C63, M3 or a Lexus IS-F. I was also considering going up to an S63 or an M6. For me, the AWD and the reviews of the Audi weighed in heavily on my decision.

Either way, I'm waiting 3-4 months now for delivery. Not a real big deal since I live in Iraq for the moment, but I am looking forward to coming home in June/July.

Are you sure about that? A 2008 RS4 Built to order?

RS4 ???? in 08 , I thought that the run was closed in 07?? could be misinformed

Ordered in the US via Lithia Motors. I asked them repeatedly whether they were sure they were still taking orders and they were confident enough to accept my deposit. This will be my 3rd car from them, but my first Audi. I guess I'll have to see what happens!

I just talked with my dealer, their understanding is also that the "regular" production has ended on the 2008's, but that you can still special order the car and Audi will build it for you. They are going to verify this with the factory today, but the district manager was under the impression they could make it happen. If I can't get ahold of an RS4 I will see what my options are for an S4. I may be in the same boat for either car.

I was in the same position a month ago. Ordered a S5, but upgraded to a RS4 after months and months of deciding between both cars and waiting for the M3, ISF, or C63. I got a Sprint Blue RS4 with the Ti package. I think it looks great! Mugello with Ti was my next option. For what it's worth, I think that unless you run your car on the track, the performance between all of these cars is very, very close. What closed it for me was the fact that I wanted a RS4 ever since it was first released, even in Europe.

Grendel, did they special order for you as well? I'm hoping I'm not too late! I would still enjoy the S4 but I would take the RS4 to the track every now and then. The S4 I would most likely not track. How do you like the grill with he Ti package? I haven't seen any pictures of what it looks like.

if I could have any car I'd get a Veyron

but out of those or any other fast saloon (sedan to you) it would be the RS4 every time
