Milltek Coloured exhaust

I have just spoken with Chris at Milltek who tells me they are just waiting for the tender to be returned which will enable them to offer a darken tail pipe (plasma coated) for their exhaust system, as mine has the Optic Pack and I didnt want the crome tails.

I would go for the full system, quoted at approx £1900 including fitting direclty from Milltek, any better offers out their or feedback with regards to performace? I have checked on several websites and the noise is very sweet

Not sure what you mean by "waiting for the tender to be returned"?

Milltek have had quality issues with the dark finishes for the last 12mths, so i could not be arsed waiting & i opted for the normal finish (my car is Optics Pack), as after a few miles it darkens & actually sets the back off a little better than the dark i think.

That said, they're an excellent product. Not sure if your price is correct for a full system, as that seems cheap. You're looking at about £1500 for a cat back system.

Have the full Miltek System, fitted by them as well - in my opinion they are the best. As regards the performance and sound, mine is resonated and it adds soul to the V8. Love the start up in the morning (even the resonated is enough to wake the neighbours). Throttle response with valve open is definately more responsive and surprisingly I'm geting the best mpg I've had since fitting. Think the sytem u were quoted is half only as it is far too cheap for a complete system.

The Tender they have put out is for a company to provide a quality finish for the blacken version. I see what you mean about the colouring from the normal one though.

He did mention that this was for a full system, I have looked at garages providing this a its nearer to £3k

I was offered a second hand cat-back Milltek (valved, resonated) for £500 not so long ago. It only had 1500 miles on it so fairly good condition. Had I realised they were that much new I'd have bought it and had the tips powdercoated. Hmmm, I wonder what Audi would say about a performance exhaust on a leased car...
