Bloody hell, this is not uncommon, I was talking to two people over the weekend who has had this happen to them... one had a massive hole eaten into driver seat of his Porsche 997, he said his insurance did not cover 'rodent damage' in the small print...??

Had the same in my dads place - he collected old cars. Bought some plug in ultrasonic mice repeller thing (from homebase/B&Q/gardening centres) and kept them switched on in the garage - did the trick. No mess and is only about 1p / 3 days to run. (You can't use these if you have hamsters/gerbils)
