Strange bearing type noise circa 10-20mph

Guys,

Just returned from a weekend away on the south coast, 220 mile run from the north, got onto the M25 after a good few hours driving and hit the usual carpark traffic, in stop start traffic the car started making a odd bearing type noise, starts quite loud after the clutch was fully engaged at 10mph and gets quieter up to 20 when it seems to go away. its a rotational type noise sort of noise as it gets quicker as the car goes faster. coming from the passenger side wheel.

Anway it carried on doing ot for about 40 mins while i was in traffic, then i stopped to pick up a friend - it went away for the first mile or so then came back. The car spent most the weekend in the hotel parked up in heavy rain, no problems with it on sunday. then drove back up north and it was just noticable after a traffic jam on the M6.

It sounds like a wheel bearing or CV joint or something similar - but i've not hit anything or landed the car in any big potholes but it seems quite intermittent, no vibration through the wheel and it doesnt get louder if you turn the wheel. Its loudest after putting the clutch in which makes me think it might be a clutch noise - definatly rotational type noise and gets quicker as you speed up - more of a rubbing type noise than a clicking or clonk.

Any ideas / similar problems?

22.5K on carbon ceramics.

it did start up after 2 or 3 heavy braking efforts so you might be right. will whip her in to the dealers and see what the score is.

Based on the miles... that WILL be pads ... but you may have just ****ed up your carbon disc .. £3.5k EACH .. good luck ... fingers crossed :) (no warranty will cover that ...)
