How many B7 RS4s was produced?

Was reading a article on Wickepdia, it states that only 10.000 B7 RS4 Saloons was produced, and 1700 of those was exported to the states!

Is this true, I knew it was a limited production line, but 10.000 does not seem that many, and if so would the RS4s have a production number stating what number the car was, similar to a limited edition model, say like the M3 GT was!

The car was not "limited number produced", it was "limited time", various estimates had been bandied around, about 2000 saloons I think came hear......................................... anyone.

USA. Will be a special order. I'm still waiting to hear back from the Audi District manager after he talks with the factory.

there was a previous post on this that seemed authoritative and was much less than that, thought it said UK was about 1100 cars in all - 600 saloon, 400 avant and 100 cabs

!?!?

Wow, that's not many at all, and probably bodes well for solid residuals.

Anyone know how that compares witht he number of E46 M3s in the UK ?? I'd imagine that the number will be a lot higher. Obviously, early E46 M3s are now as cheap as chips.

I don't know if it's a geographical thing or not but I hardly ever see another RS4, maybe 1 or 2 a week but that's it. I've never seen another Cabriolet in my local area either but that's not saying there isn't any, just haven't seen one. :?

Funny you say that John as I was offerd £1K less than what I paid for mine last week by a dealer (no p/x involved) and I have put on £7K miles and had it 6 months. So not all bad.

Still happy with my RS4 and likely to be that way for a good few years yet.

Oop North, dealer was near your neck of the woods. Prices appear to be firming up.

I am really glad to here it, too many people get ripped off with the "Dealer predition" of RV when we BUY, only to get "Told a story" when we sell.
