The new 6 series 635D............

....... OK traitor.......... maybe. But: everything has improved inside and the outside does not look too bad either, however drove the car in dry conditions and it really performed well, great auto box and picked up well.
I decided to take it out for a few hours yesterday in wet cold conditions, I drove on A/B roads at normal speeds; Feck me what pile of crap, ESP on/off every corner

the ride was absolutly terrible, banging crashing skipping out, a real death trap on those run-flats.
Just great getting back in the RS, flew down the same roads with ease.
I drove the M6 and got the same terribe ride 18 months ago..........

nothing changed then.

PS) 28 MPG!!!!!!!! and that was normal driving.

I know what you mean, Iv just come over from BMW ownership, OK the one I owned was not as powerful a car as the 635, but compared to the Quattro on the road, i feel a lot safer in the RS4!
What was the power delivery like on the 635D BTW?

Power delivery was very very good, and remapped would be great, it's just in wet/damp UK this car is such a risky drive.
A5 TDI chipped may be good.

Yes, I agree. It is a trend in heavy BMWs unfortunately. A 760i was trying to "play" with me on a country road during the weekend on damp tarmac. He soon realised his back end was not going to obey his commands. Was quite impressive on the straights though, but no RS4. I think they have approx 450 bhp but weigh about 2.2 tonnes.

Ditching the runflats for starters definitely helps, but if it's anything like my 535D DMS'd, I would have to absolutely agree that you'll never get me trying to pull of the same moves as I did with the RS4 or even the A5 for that matter.....
Otherwise the engine is a beaut.....
