Tyre Pressure Warning

Have just returned home from a 1 month business trip to dramatically lower temperatures. The RS4 has been garaged during my trip. On return, the red tyre pressure warning light is illuminated on firing the engine - in the DIS. I've checked tyre pressures and all seem OK, but cannot seem to access the DIS to reset the system.

A short tap of the SET button does nothing, and leaves the red warning symbol in place. A longer press brings up the laptimer, but whatever I try, I cannot seem to access the DIS menu.

All suggestions welcome.

Cheers, Mark

I have no idea, so this is purely a guess ->

Maybe try driving the car for a bit and see what happens - something could need to charge up

If you have checked them manually, then I wouldn't worry too much about the tyres.

No idea what you can't get into the DIS with the set button though....

Have tried driving round a bit - well, for 3 days since I got back. Still no joy. Really would like to avoid a trip to the stealers, if I can help it.

I think it must be something to do with a sensor "misread", due to the car being sat there while the temperature outside dropped.

Just had a thought - does the DIS only allow access to the menu when the engine is not running? The warning light only lights up after the engine is running - have not yet tried the DIS before starting.

You need to switch ignition off, then put ignition on but do not start the car. Press set, keep it pressed. The warning will flash 3 times and then should bring up the menu. Either that or press set, leave the warning to beep 3 times, then press set again to bring up the menu.
