Hi all, just a few pics of my saloon detailed by yesterday. It was very dark when we took the photos this morning which is reflected in some of the shots. First 3 taken with my crappy camera, remaining photos by Janis.

A big thank you to Janis and Rob for their superb work. I've had cars detailed previously by very good detailers and these guys are every bit as good and as meticulous. They look after some top automotive pornography including MC12s/Enzos etc etc. as well as the P1 cars. The nano-coating should last a lot longer than the usual zymol/swissol stuff I've had it treated with previously (usually effect fades after 6 months).

So far, I've hosed the car down following today's rainy weather and it looks perfect again, didn't even have to dry it, water just beaded off. I will report again to update everyone how it is all faring against the british winter .

They have several different packages depending on what you want done. An full in and out detail of 6-8+ hours on a medium sized saloon costs £225 (£250 for large saloons). You can have various extras including engine bay detailing, leather conditioning etc.

The costs rise on older cars which need more extensive machine polishing to bring the paintwork up to the required standard to coat.

Cheers for the photos. I'm really considering having this done. I first saw an article on them for Pistonheads.

Car looks very well, but do we really have to stand by and let you advertise on this business behalf in quite such a memory sapping way. Is the guy going to take out advertising with us as he already seems to be getting referals?

Simple, it was not my intention to "advertise" anything, in fact I take great offence to that. I just wanted to post some pics of my car once detailed and let everyone know who did it as they deserve the credit for the quality of work they did. As already mentioned, my intention is to see how this coating fares against the harsh british winter, which is why I was going to report back in a few months.

People are free to make their own choices. I don't see you posting similar comments on other people's threads when they say they had x, y, or z remap done at DMS or JDE. I'm sure they get equal, if not more business as a result of those threads than a detailing company. I searched on RS246.com quite a lot re:detailers and found several threads with people's recommendations/websites which are good to use. I found this information very useful and hence I posted my experience as it might help other members.

It seems entirely random (or maybe not!) who you choose to pick on depending on what mood you're in. Why do you always think there must be a sinister reason behind posts that praise someone else's company? If you feel this strongly about it, just remove the company's name and website and any pictures you feel might be taking advantage of the forum. I have no problem with that.

Edited to add: If you do edit this thread, then it is only fair to do the same for every other thread on this forum praising the services of a company/person (if they don't have an advertising package with RS246.com). You don't want to be seen as having different rules for different people now do you ?

Great work - i would go Daytona Grey if i had my choice again Funnily enough mine was due to go in for a detail today but had to postpone unfortunately at the last minute. Eloquently put point as well.

Thanks for posting these, although it makes me feel bad about the state mine's in it does at least let me see what's possible.

So you are happy for me to delete the link to the car washer..... cool. Think you may find its not random, I am one hundred percent consistant when it comes to advertising, so the moral of the story is dont post links without consent from the crew.

Fine. But I will say again for the record, I was NOT advertising and have absolutely no affiliation with this company. I was just trying to be helpful.

You have a lot to learn about being a moderator however as your attitude frankly stinks. Had you come on and politely asked me not to post weblinks (I was not aware this was not allowed), I would not have been so offended and would have edited the thread myself (were RS246 to allow editing 30 minutes after posting). Rather you came storming in accusing me of advertising and sapping your memory even though the pictures are externally hosted.

In addition, in other car forums I've been a member of, the moderators leave a sign of their edits in a way such as "...edited by mods to remove weblink...etc". This allows the readers to understand what is going on, rather than simply removing bits untraceably.
