New to the forum so Hi folks.
Seriously thinking of having a Remap done by DMS as I've had a couple of previous BM diesels remapped by them and liked the service and of course the improved performance.
I know there are loads of threads regarding Remaps by various companies but I don't see any regarding specifically DMS,has anyone used DMS and if so What is the report?
Many Thanks.

There were a few threads a while back. It actually all got a bit heated due to differences of opinion between members. You can read all about it here:
http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... =dms+remap
http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... =dms+remap
Not to mention this one:
http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... =dms+remap
If you want to read the latter, leave aside half an hour or so

.
Just to add, the main options with regard to remaps are:
MRC
DMS
J+D engineering
I'm sure there are others and hopefully people will post with their experiences.

As per Alex's post, plenty on here regarding DMS/MRC & JDE.
From memory, i'd say about 5 on here have the DMS map, around the same for MRC & 1 or 2 with JDE.
I went for DMS, given i've used them on a few cars & can't rate them highly enough. Currently i believe MRC are the only tuner to offer a specific map for de/sports cat cars although JDE may also have this.
Kinda comes down to personal choice at the end of the day & you'll not go wrong with any of the above tuners.

I hadn't actually planned on visiting DMS for the Re-Map as I live in the North and they've always been obliging enough to pay me a visit and Re-map my car at home, but reading some of the other threads this is looking like a bad option,as it seems to me that most of you guy's irrespective of Re-map company have all had your RS4's custom mapped to some degree is this correct?

"custom" is sometimes a controversial statement... Some tuners will have a dozen or so slightly differing maps and work out which is OK for your car and still call this "custom" others will spend time data logging either by Rolling Road or vagcom and the open road, tweaking the map and if required tailoring the map to your other mods or type of fuel you are using...
I am not being patronising when I say, but its not a Xyear old TT/Golf you are mapping that cost you £10k to buy, its your pride and joy, you want to know you are getting a decent map with the experience behind the coding if things need changing or tweaking, you are unlikely to get this from a re-seller of someone elses map, they of course can be on the telephone and emailing maps back and fourth, but not ideal...
Any of the companies mentioned above will give you a great service...

OK as this is a distinctly touchy subject I'll move onto something slightly different. I like the sound of this Exhaust baffle upgrade that JD Engineering Holland offers, but as I'm not planning on taking a trip out there in the near future does anyone know if any of the UK Re-Mappers are aware of this upgrade or in the prosess of developing the same thing?
